Over the past few months, I have been writing and mulling over my book, Natural Migraine Relief – Killing Your Pain Without Painkillers and to finish it, I really need your help.

I want this book to touch and help as many people as possible and I need a few more perspectives. I would like to have a few case studies about different migraine sufferers’ experience and find out what has and hasn’t worked for them. In return I will give you an ecopy absolutely free or a hard copy for free, if you pay shipping and handling – once it is finished.

Before answering the questions, I need to know if any of the Ten Top Tips have helped you (mentally and physically) become stronger and in a better position to tackle your migraines. Describe the state of your health now.

If you haven’t signed up yet, you can do so now  (there are a few hidden gems in there – http://naturalmigrainereliefnow.com) After reading and following the tips, I’d be grateful if you could let me know.

Please answer the 12 questions in the comments box below: (see website http://naturalmigrainereliefnow.com in case you are reading this anywhere else) .

1. Describe your migraine in detail (when did it first strike you and now, when does it happen? What happens to you? How long does it last? What do you do to cope?)

2. What do you think is/are the cause(s) of your migraines?

3. What alternative methods have you tried? What happened?

4. How often are you (mentally) stressed? What happens to your body?

5. What (events, foods, things, other)/who causes you stress?

6. How do you deal with this stress?

7. What do you believe about yourself and your migraines? (please list your most common beliefs about them)

8. Do you believe you can get rid of your migraines completely? If not, why not?

9. What would it be worth to you to get rid of your migraines?

10. Can you imagine how your life would be without migraines?

11. Can you describe how you would feel what you would do and what your day would now be like?

12. Would you be willing to try something you haven’t tried before?

Please answer every question in the comment box below.

Thanks  to everyone in advance who will take the time to answer these questions! Now I need to get back to writing. :D

Namaste!

    1. Describe your migraine in detail (when did it first strike you and now, when does it happen? What happens to you? How long does it last? What do you do to cope?)-I’ve been getting them all my life, but became chronic when I was twenty… so I’ve had chronic migraines for 12 years. I get migraines with aura. I get visual snow, blurred double vision and distorted vision, as well as nausea prior to the migraine. The migraine itself can last for hours to days. Over time I have learned many things to cope. I took a less stressful job, I creative write and read. Take down time after work. Naps. But since they are chronic it is quite difficult to work, consistently, with them, but since they are so frequent I often do and that is extremely taxing.

    2. What do you think is/are the cause(s) of your migraines? genetics for one, secondly I have FMS which is comorbid with migraines, since they share similar triggers it makes my migraine more frequent than they could have been.

    3. What alternative methods have you tried? What happened? I tried vitamins and magnesium and a whole lot of herbs. Not too much success and I stopped because I did not want to conflict with my meds. I tried a chiropractor, but it ended up causing some bad neck pain, since FMS can be flared by that treatment. I have done some physio, which greatly helped reduce the tension in my neck and shoulders caused by too many migraines in a row.

    4. How often are you (mentally) stressed? What happens to your body? I don’t get stressed often, but when I am I get either edgy and heart racing or sleepy.

    5. What (events, foods, things, other)/who causes you stress? Doing anything with a migraine, when I know I have no choice, causes me stress.

    6. How do you deal with this stress? Take down time and do something for myself.

    7. What do you believe about yourself and your migraines? (please list your most common beliefs about them) I believe migraines are a disease.

    8. Do you believe you can get rid of your migraines completely? If not, why not?- No. Not completely, but I believe I can decrease the frequency and intensity.

    9. What would it be worth to you to get rid of your migraines? Can’t put a price on that.

    10. Can you imagine how your life would be without migraines? Not anymore.

    11. Can you describe how you would feel what you would do and what your day would now be like?- I would not be the hermit I am. I would be able to think clearly at work without so many mistakes. i would not feel so drained at fighting this struggle

    12. Would you be willing to try something you haven’t tried before? If it did not conflict with my medication or cost a great deal. I always try new things.

    $100,000 USD

    10. Can you imagine how your life would be without migraines?

Yes. It would be full of love more than now.

    11. Can you describe how you would feel what you would do and what your day would now be like?

It wouldn’t change too much, but, I would have more energy and clarity. I would be a better husband.

    12. Would you be willing to try something you haven’t tried before?

  5. Stacy Arnold says:

    1. Describe your migraine in detail (when did it first strike you and now, when does it happen? What happens to you? How long does it last? What do you do to cope?)
My diagnosis of having migraines was at three years old, I can remember having them a bit younger than that. When they come on, it is usually on one side of my head or the other, or the very back part of my head when I get one’s that come on like a lightening bolt, I can’t even talk when those come on. My ear usually aches as well and vision is spotty/blurry. If I catch my migraines early, I can sometimes get rid of them in a few hours. I’ve had them for an entire week as well. Usually they last 24 hours. To cope I take hot showers, hot water bottle on head, I’ve used Maxalt as well as Percocet (which doesn’t get rid of the migraine).. Migraine Exedrin only makes me vomit quicker, doesn’t help the headache at all. I also have started taking Namenda and it reduces much of the intensity of most migraines.

    2. What do you think is/are the cause(s) of your migraines? Foods, Chemical exposure such as formaldehydes ,cigarette smoke, wood smoke, car exhaust, perfumes, bug spray…. etc., also barametric pressure changes, lack of sleep, rises in adrenaline level, bright lights, flashing lights.hormone changes, also strong family history of migraines paternally/maternally.

    3. What alternative methods have you tried? What happened? I’ve had some accupunture, but probably not enough to have ever did any good. I’ve tried some herbal medications with no luck.

    4. How often are you (mentally) stressed? What happens to your body? I live a pretty stress free life, and if stressed I get tired.

    5. What (events, foods, things, other)/who causes you stress? Large crowds of people stress me out, primarily because I get migraines from the perfume.

    6. How do you deal with this stress? Talk about it with my husband, take a walk… Pray/meditate.

    7. What do you believe about yourself and your migraines? (please list your most common beliefs about them) I’m pretty tough, I worked for years with migraines because I was a single mom and couldn’t afford to go home every time I had a migraine. I have other medical issues that throw a wrench in things, but I deal with all of them the best I can, and keep going.

    8. Do you believe you can get rid of your migraines completely? If not, why not? I’ve been told by doctor’s that they could get me down to two migraines a month, and that has never happened with tons of medication (antiseizure, beta blockers) I was spending $1500 per month on medicine and it only reduced the intensity of my migraines, but never cut down on them. I’ve had them for 44+ years and I’d be thrilled to get rid of them, but I’m not so easy to excite about this possibility anymore, because all of the miracle drugs I’ve tried were less then miraculous.

    9. What would it be worth to you to get rid of your migraines? I’d give you my first born son, but you’d send him back! I can’t even imagine not having migraines, they are so part of who I am.. I would be thrilled to not be limited by them, and to never have another one is priceless.

    10. Can you imagine how your life would be without migraines? My life would be wonderful without migraines. I would be able to be more outgoing and do more social things that I’ve learned to shun. I would enjoy doing normal daily things without the pain of a migraine.. I don’t lie in bed with a migraine unless I’m actively vomitting… I do my daily routine with or without migraine pain.

    11. Can you describe how you would feel what you would do and what your day would now be like? I would feel free, and not a slave to migraines any longer. I would be able to accomplish so much more in life. I have on the average at least four migraines per week, sometimes more sometimes less, sometimes I have a migraine for three straight days.. It is always a rare day not to have a migraine.

    12. Would you be willing to try something you haven’t tried before? Yes, I’ve done that several times. I’d love to find the winning solution.

  7. Stacy Arnold says:

To the gentlemen that has FMS, I firmly believe that FMS is related to food allergies. When I eat the things I’m allergic to such as eggs, dairy products, gluten products( breads, grains) and preservative found in foods such as bacon, deli meat and such,I have stomach pain (IBS), pain in my tendons and such, especially my hands and legs, as well as it triggers migraines, and chronic fatigue.. I had the blood testing done for food allegies, and it has totally changed my diet. I’ve actually started losing weight too, and for me that is good.
If your unable to do food allegy testing take a week and avoid eggs and dairy products especially. Avoid food with preservatives, look for the all natural label,no dyes, msg, or nitrates. I wish you luck either way.

    1. Describe your migraine in detail (when did it first strike you and now, when does it happen? What happens to you? How long does it last? What do you do to cope?) For a few years between the ages of 20 – 22 I had one every 6 months or so but it was abdominal, pain, weakness, vomiting for up to 4-5 days. Then the classic migraines started – aura, weakness down 1 side, tingling, ears blocked, followed by intense head pain for up to 3 days. it was under control for many years by Pizotifen but in the last year this has failed and now I take amitriptyline but this doesnt work, so I am currenlty having about 3 – 4 days a week with a migraine or pre-migraine symptoms. Usually I have to be somewhere dark and quiet and avoid the computer and can’t talk or have any interaction which involves thinking. i get very depressed and tearful/irrational about life.

    2. What do you think is/are the cause(s) of your migraines? Exercise, computer, hormones, stress
    3. What alternative methods have you tried? What happened? reflexology improved IBS symptoms.
    4. How often are you (mentally) stressed? What happens to your body? Most days! I get very weak and wobbly and feel panicky.
    5. What (events, foods, things, other)/who causes you stress? Work, feeling like my brain isn’t working enough to get things right, the fear of being found out at getting things wrong.
    6. How do you deal with this stress? I don’t! I try to grow an imaginary shell round myself and pretend i am elsewhere but not very effective
    7. What do you believe about yourself and your migraines? (please list your most common beliefs about them) That my reaction to stress might mean I am coping on the outside but internally my body is failing. That they control me and make me feel different and isolated.
    8. Do you believe you can get rid of your migraines completely? If not, why not? No because it’s just how my body is made.
    9. What would it be worth to you to get rid of your migraines? I would swap winning the lottery jackpot if it meant getting rid of my migraines
    10. Can you imagine how your life would be without migraines? IT would be amazing. I would be successful and career-led, more wealthy, super fit and into exercise and would be able to travel and be adventurous.
    11. Can you describe how you would feel what you would do and what your day would now be like? I would wake up feeling positive and just normal, and know that my plans are going to happen and that I will make the most of life and be spontaneous and get drunk and stay up all night!!
    12. Would you be willing to try something you haven’t tried before? Yes, I would try anything.

    Hey Sile

    Here are my replies:

    1. Describe your migraine in detail (when did it first strike you and now, when does it happen? What happens to you? How long does it last? What do you do to cope?)

EZ: I have had migraines for as long as i can remember them. I remember going to the parties with my parents and then having a bad headache alongwith feeling nausea, and throwing up and then my parents had to bring me home. Every party ended like this. Later in my teens i felt like i was about to die because I had immense pain in my head that lasted for 3 or 4 days and it used to be very throbbing and i would throw up all the time and had to skip school or any other activity. I couldn’t eat anything during that time and couldn’t even take a pain killer. So I had to go through the pain. Later on my migraines became a little infrequent but once it hit me it just was bad as ever. I always had a very throbbing pain in half of my face. Any side, my eye, teeth, ear all felt swelled and like someone is stabbing them at the same time. I went to many doctors, and spent a lot of money on medicines that made me feel worse then the migraine. Nothing helped and so i just started taking normal pain killers like aspirin to make the pain go away. sometime it worked and at others it just stayed and I had to suffer. I used to feel very irritated and wanted to just get away from the world.
    2. What do you think is/are the cause(s) of your migraines?
EZ:Stress. Immense stress that I just used to feel because of everything in my life. work, relationships with my parents, relationships with every one else, a negative view of myself and the life in general.
    3. What alternative methods have you tried? What happened?
EZ:The medicines as I mentioned above was all that i tried and I felt like the doctors and pharmaceuticals were just making money out of my misery.
    4. How often are you (mentally) stressed? What happens to your body?
EZ: I used to be very very stressed mostly all the time. My brain felt like clogged and i couldn’t think. My temples felt like swelled and i had a headache and my shoulders and neck also ached as well as my back. I also felt like I’m carrying a lot weight in my arms.
    5. What (events, foods, things, other)/who causes you stress?
EZ: crowd, parties, perfumes, caffeine, meat, boredom and work situations.
    6. How do you deal with this stress?
EZ: I just used to sleep. sometimes took a sedative and slept hoping that the stress would be gone when I wake up.
    7. What do you believe about yourself and your migraines? (please list your most common beliefs about them)
EZ:I believed that these are just a medical condition and will never leave me and are a part of my life.
    8. Do you believe you can get rid of your migraines completely? If not, why not?
EZ: Well now I do, since i started using the natural relief tips, yoga and meditation and now Avatar! before i believed that i never will, but I changed my belief.
    9. What would it be worth to you to get rid of your migraines?
    EZ: yep of course!
    10. Can you imagine how your life would be without migraines?
EZ: yes very very efficient and calm. I’m getting a sense of it now and will be migraine free very very soon. :)
    11. Can you describe how you would feel what you would do and what your day would now be like?
EZ: I would be able to socialize and work with focus and produce great results in whatever I do. I would be able to have more hours to utilize for myself and would have a brain to think again :)
    12. Would you be willing to try something you haven’t tried before?
    EZ: yes sure!
